


MEET Councilman Khaldoun Androwis
NEW LEADERSHIP DELIVERING RESULTS FOR OUR COMMUNITY
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Councilman Androwis with his hard work and unmatched dedication has set new standards for council members. In 2016, as Chairman of the Finance Committee was able to deliver for the first time in the modern history of Wallington a 0% increase of municipal taxes. For 3 years, he was instrumental in controlling expensesin the water department and under his leadership there was no water rate increase for our residents even though Passaic Valley has been imposing a 5% increase every year. Under councilman Androwis leader, the Shade Tree commissionhas gone through a complete transformation. The number of applications processed quadrupled and finally, there is a firm action plan. Councilman Androwis, also developed a street paving plan for Wallington to prioritize the streets that are in most need of paving and repair. Councilman Androwis was the liaison for two vital first responders department (Police & EMS) and was able to provide them with all the necessary equipments and tools to make their lives easier and help residents more effectively. Councilman Androwis is dedicated and committed to continue what he started and to work hard for ALL citizens, homeowners and renters – regardless of political affiliation.
PERSONAL INFORMATION:-
Councilman Khaldoun Androwis has been a Wallington homeowner since 2011 and in District 36 for more than 25 years. He is married to Agnieszka Jasinska-Androwis, they have three daughters Angelica, Isabel and Victoria.
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:-
Khaldoun graduated in 1997 from NJIT in Newark with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. Currently, he is employed as North/South America’s Regional Manager for a Fortune 500 American multinational investment bank and financial services corporation. Khaldoun’s 19 years of business experience, in addition to his leadership responsibilities have proven to be an asset to the Borough of wallington.
CIVIC INVOLVEMENT:-
Former Council President, Parishioner of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, former Grand Knight for Wallington Knights of Columbus Council 3644, former volunteer soccer coach for the town recreation program, member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, County Committee Member representing voting district 2 and Vice President of the Wallington Republican Club
